Top tips for healthy Summer skin

These long sunny days are divine to enjoy, but can take a toll on our skin. We all know the importance of protecting our skin from sunburn and skin cancers but hours in the sun can also lead to premature ageing, wrinkles, pigmentation, brown spots and open pores. Here are our 4 top tips for protecting your skin:

  1. Re-apply sunscreen regularly, especially after swimming.

  2. Tan a safer way with products rather than UV rays. Take home products from Bondi Sands or St Tropez are great to use or maintain a tan. Our in salon spray tans are super popular and prices start from just $30.00.

  3. Hydrate your skin after a day out. The Avène range is based on a thermal spring water rich in minerals which replenishes the skin. Our Nimue facials are an excellent way to condition and hydrate the skin - pop in and ask me which treatment will be best for you.

  4. If your skin needs repair, consider using vitamin B3 to reverse and minimise the appearance of sun damage. Solarcare contains 5% vitamin B3 in a cream base which can be used as your daily moistuiser. Apply to the face and neck are twice a day for 3 months for best results.
